Ryan Vicencio

Ryan leads the Tennis Department with enthusiasm, fostering diverse tennis and pickleball events through collaborative input. His passion stems from extensive experience in high school and college tennis, as well as tournament participation. Ryan’s dynamic approach and deep love for both sports shine through in his leadership role.

Alexa Gregorian

Alexa’s tennis journey began at age seven, leading to impressive achievements including a spot on her high school’s Varsity team as a freshman and team captaincy. She earned a full scholarship to CSUN’s Division 1 Team. Alexa now coaches top juniors and recreational players at LCFCC, offering private and group lessons in both tennis and pickleball.

Stan Carter

Stan Carter, LCFCC’s tennis pro since 2012, directs USTA Jr. Team Tennis. With over 16 years in USPTA, PTR, and USTA, he’s a respected figure in tennis education. Stan specializes in private lessons, group sessions, and clinics, focusing on essential skills. His involvement with the Tennis Teachers Institute underscores his commitment to mentoring aspiring instructors.

Duda Piai

Brazilian-born Duda Piai started playing tennis at 5, competing on the ITF/WTA tour for a decade and achieving a world ranking of 359. After retiring in 2020, she coached in São Paulo before moving to California. At LCFCC, Duda now coaches players of all ages and skill levels, sharing her extensive expertise and passion for tennis.

Carlos Vicencio

Carlos discovered tennis at LCFCC at 11, quickly excelling to become the top singles player at Crescenta Valley High School. He played for Glendale Community College’s team for three years and assisted at LCFCC’s kids’ summer camp. Carlos now coaches individuals and groups, focusing on tailored lessons and live ball events to help players reach their full potential.

Forrest Mesina

With over a decade of coaching experience at LCFCC, Forrest’s tennis journey includes four years on Grant High School’s varsity team and three years with Glendale Community College’s Men’s Tennis Team. Known for his energetic approach, Forrest specializes in organizing engaging Live Ball events and providing personalized coaching for individuals and groups.

Diego, a tennis enthusiast since childhood, has transitioned from player to coach with 13 years of playing experience. For four years, he’s coached at LCFCC, focusing on developing well-rounded players. Diego offers versatile coaching services for all skill levels, including hitting lessons, private sessions, and group coaching, always prioritizing his clients’ on-court goals.

Ara Baghdasaryan

Ara Baghdasaryan started tennis at 8 in Armenia, ranking top 8 nationally by 15. After moving to the U.S. in 2000, he played varsity tennis and earned his USPTA coaching license in 2011. Since 2017, he has coached tennis and pickleball for LA’s Recreation and Parks and at a Club, focusing on developing players’ skills and passion for both sports.
